My top 5 gluten/wheat-free Products

Throughout the year we try different products and as the seasons change so do my food cupboards but some are here all year. These are my must-have can't be without favourites.

1. Genius Triple seeded sandwich loaf

By far the softest loaf I have tried it is not dry and does not crumble all over your plate like most. This is not only great for sandwiches but I blitz the crust pieces and use the breadcrumbs for chicken kievs etc.

2. Doves Farm Plain white flour blend

I have been using this particular flour for years now once I discovered it there was no turning back. Simply use in your recipe in place of regular flour but add a little extra liquid (I always use large eggs instead of medium). I use this for pastry, white sauce and pancakes for example.

3. Doves Farm White self-raising flour blend

Again a firm favourite makes all kinds of yummy cakes but will, like the plain flour require extra liquid.

4. Supermarket own Fusilli pasta twists

Having children pasta is always a firm favourite. Tesco and Sainsburys own free from range always have these. Great in pasta salad or any pasta dish these twists hold together and do not break up.

5. Nature's Path cereals

We love this range of cereals our favourites are the Nice and Nobbly Granolas. Personally the blueberry,raspberry and strawberry is tastier but my son always wants the pumpkin,almond and raisin variety. I recently bought their choco munch for my son as he was craving a cereal with more child friendly appeal. He was not disappointed I have each week since had to purchase a box for him. They were also given the seal of approval by his sister.
