Vanilla Birthday Cake

Ingredients

 

8 oz Doves Farm self-raising flour

8oz Margarine

8oz caster sugar

2tsp baking powder

4 eggs

few drops of vanilla extract

 

Method

 

1) Cream the margarine, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy

2) Beat in the eggs one at a time and then add the baking powder and flour.

3) Divide between 2 greased and lined tins

4) Bake at 180C for 25-30 minutes until the cake begins to pull away from sides.

5) Leave to cool and then trim and decorate as required.
