On Sunday September 20th I ran (and walked) the Ipswich Half Marathon raising money for the Evelina Childrens Hospital in London. I'm proud to say I made it round in under 2 hours 20 minutes and raised £200. So a big thank you to everyone who supported me. Joining me on this adventure was my younger brother who ran for Prostate Cancer UK and raised £167! and of course crossed the finish line at least 10 minutes before me, Well Done Dan.

Having never taken part in a mass particapation event like this before I have to admit being very nervous and anxious. There was no need. The people of Ipswich and all the supporters were simply fantastic and a big thank you to everyone. I was worried some parts of the course would be quiet but every street was lined with friendly faces offering words of encouragement, a friendly high five and sweets. Fantastic. There was a free family fun run to make sure nobody was left out which our children enjoyed. What a great day out.

Well Done Ipswich. I'll be back.
