Winter in Whistler

We have just returned from our fourth trip to Whistler in as many years and can't wait to return.
I can't pinpoint what it is exactly about Whistler I like so much but when we are there all the people we meet are happy and friendly in a genuine way. Whistler Blackcomb is 50 years old this year and it's easy to see why it's so popular, there is something on offer for everyone especially famillies with free Fire and Ice shows and family activities at the Olympic Plaza. There is no pushing for the chairlift or the gondola and this year we found on Blackcomb mountain there was barely a queue for the chairlifts. Each year as our skiing improves we find more of the mountain to explore but still find we didn't cover everywhere.
Of course the fact most people speak English is always beneficial especially when you have dietary requirements. Whistler is very gluten-free friendly with mountain and village restaurants offering options that are not just a salad, you can get pasta, pizza and burgers to name a few. For more detail see the travel section.
If you are thinking about booking a trip to Whistler a gluten-free diet is well catered for so give it a try.
